Cold Storage Sahay Yojana is a brand new assistance

 Cold Storage Sahay Yojana : A new scheme has come up for farmers, this scheme provides assistance to farmers to build cold storage for storage of horticultural crops. Through this scheme, farmers will be able to preserve their crops for a long time by making cold storage and maintain their earnings.

Cold Storage Assistance Scheme | Cold Storage Sahay Yojana

The scheme is being implemented under the existing Mission for Integrated Development of Horticulture (MIDH) scheme of the Government of India.

The main objective of this scheme is to increase cold storage capacity for horticultural produce.

Standard of Assistance through Cold Storage Assistance Scheme

Under this scheme the following assistance will be provided to the horticultural farmers.

• If your cold storage capacity exceeds 5000 MT you will be eligible for ₹8000 per MT basis.
• If your cold storage capacity is between 5001 to 6500 MT you will be eligible for ₹7,600 per MT basis.
• If your cold storage capacity is between 6501 to 7600 MT you will be eligible for ₹7,200 per MT basis.
• If your cold storage capacity is between 8001 and 10,000 metric tonnes you will be entitled to ₹6,800 per metric tonne.
• Note that this assistance will be available for a maximum of 50% of the total cost of the project.

Note: This assistance is available only once in lifetime.

• Aadhaar card of the beneficiary
• Farmer's PAN Card
• Bank account passbook
• 7-12 and 8-a

Apart from this, you can get the information about the certificate that the land is uncultivated and other such documents from the iKhedoot portal.

Required date for application

To avail cold storage assistance scheme you have to apply online from 12/08/2024 to 11/10/2024 through IKhedoot portal.

How to Apply Online

To get help through this scheme, first of all you have to open iKhedoot portal in your mobile or laptop. Here you will see an option named “Plans” above, click on it.

Then click where “Click here for gardening plans” appears. Now you will see support plan for cold storage click on it.

Here you have to get the information like documents etc. then click on the option named “Apply”.

Now fill all the asked details carefully and after that upload the document, then click on the submit button and take a print out of this application.

Necessary documents must be attached with this application to the Deputy Horticulture Director's Office.
