The Government of Gujarat through the Department of Social Security runs various schemes aimed at helping the economically disadvantaged sections of the society which administers the Department of Social Security after the death of an incapacitated member of the main breadwinner of the family due to natural or accidental causes and to financially support the family in this sudden calamity or distress situation. Sankat Mochan Yojana 2024: Sankat Mochan Yojana which is known as National Family Support Yojana in Gujarat provides one time assistance to the family through Documented Benefit Transfer in case of death of the principal conductee who provides assistance of ₹20,000 to the family.

- Families living below the poverty line are eligible to benefit from this scheme
- He is eligible for Sankat Mochan Yojana in case of death of head person male or female due to natural or accidental causes of the family.
- Deceased male or female should be between 18 to 60 years.
