KCC Kisan Karj Mafi New List: Government of India has taken an important step to improve the economic condition of farmers. Under Kisan Karj Mafi Yojana, loans up to Rs 1 lakh taken by farmers from Kisan Credit Card (KCC) are being waived off. Need of the Scheme
Most of the farmers in our country belong to the small and marginal class, who are financially weak. Due to rising inflation and increasing cost of farming, it had become difficult for the farmers to repay the loan. Looking at this situation, the government has started this scheme so that farmers can do their farming without any mental pressure.
At this time, farmers of Telangana are getting special benefits of this scheme. The Telangana government has decided to waive off loans up to Rs 2 lakh per farmer. This decision has been taken by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy to fulfill his election promise.
Eligibility Criteria
- A farmer can cultivate on his own or others land.
- The farmer must be a native of the state and must be above 18 years of age.
- A farmer must have a crop loan account.
- Only loans taken before 31 March 2020 will be waived off.
- Only one farmer from a family can avail the benefit of this scheme.
