The main objective of Jan Poshan Kendra Yojana is to make the citizens of India aware of nutritious diet and balanced diet and to ensure that the citizens of India get a balanced diet. That is why Prahlad Joshi started this scheme from Delhi through the Union Minister of our country. The scheme is run by the Department of Food and Public Distribution. This scheme is currently running on pilot basis in four states of India through Food and Public Distribution. So let's know which four states of India have already started the Jan Poshan Kendra Yojana.
Initiation of Jan Noorsha Kendra Yojana in these four states
60 Fair Price Shops in four states of India are being included in the Jan Poshan Kendra Project and happily Gujarat State is also included in these four states. Fair price shops will be converted into birth nutrition centers in the following four states.
- Gujarat
- Telangana
- Uttar Pradesh
- Rajasthan
In the above four states, Fair Price Shops are currently being converted into Jan Nutrition Centers on a pilot basis, while in Gujarat, the process of converting 15 Fair Price Shops in Ahmedabad into Jan Nutrition Centers has already started.
Benefits of Jan Poshan Kendra Yojana
- More than 50% nutritious and nutritious food items are being included in the fair price shops through the Jan Noorsha Kendra Yojana thus increasing the income of the traders.
- People will be able to buy nutritious food so that awareness about nutritious food will spread among people.
- Customers will also get food items from reputed companies like Amul in the Jan Poorsha Kendra.
- ₹50,000 and Rs. Currently, 15 shopkeepers are being given assistance of one lakh rupees by the corporation, which means a total assistance of 1.5 lakh rupees is being received.
- Apart from wheat rice pulses in nutrition center. Commodities like milk, spices, edible oil etc. can also be distributed.
Currently this project is working on a pilot basis but if this experiment is successful it will be gradually implemented district wise across Gujarat and gradually the Jan Noorsha Kendra Yojana will be implemented across India as well.
