Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme 2024
This scheme has been initiated by the Ministry of Rural Development. Under which it is for the beneficiaries who are 60 years or above (65 years as per revised age limit in year-2011) and below the poverty line and are eligible as per revised norms of Government of India. Gujarat Vridha Pension Yojana 2024 This scheme is implemented as part of National Social Assistance Programme.
Eligibility Criteria
- Beneficiary should have poverty line identity card showing 0-16 marks.
- The beneficiary should be a citizen of India.
- Beneficiary should be 60 years or above.
Elderly Assistance Document List
- Proof of Age Age Certificate / School Leaving Certificate / Age Certificate issued by Doctor (any one of these)
- Certificate to the effect that the name is on the poverty line BPL list, if any.
- Copy of beneficiary's Aadhaar card
- Copy of bank/post office account passbook
Amount of Old Age Pension Scheme Assistance
Senior citizens between 60 to 79 years of age will get Rs. 1000 assistance is provided. And to senior citizens above 80 years of age Rs. 1250 assistance is provided. Getting this assistance in old age gives a support to the elderly to manage their livelihood.
The amount of assistance under these schemes is directly deposited by DBT in the post office or bank account of the beneficiary.
